Eva and heareva.com are run by Shreyash Wetal, a freelance developer. If you have a question about anything here, email shreyash@heareva.com.

If you ask for a demo

I collect your name, business, phone number and the best time to ring. I use them to arrange and make the demo call and to follow up about it. I don’t sell them.

During a demo call

Eva is an AI, and the call may be recorded and transcribed so we can both check how it went. If you’d rather it wasn’t recorded, tell me before the call and I’ll switch recording off.

These services help make the call, and may handle what’s said on it, including outside Australia:

If you ring the test line

It plays a short recorded message from Eva, and nothing you say is recorded. Twilio, the phone company I use, logs your number and the time you called. To limit calls each day, I also keep a scrambled copy of your number until that day ends.

If I emailed you

I found your business address on your business’s own website, and I’m writing because it relates to your work. Reply “no thanks” and I won’t email you again.

I use Google Workspace for email, Reoon to check an address works, and Anthropic’s Claude to help find businesses and draft emails, which I read before they go out.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your details

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I keep details only as long as I need them for the reasons above, and I’ll keep a note of anyone who has asked not to be contacted, so that I don’t contact them again.

If you’re not happy

Email me first and I’ll try to fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
